Iliza Shlesinger is a complete badass. Balancing life as a wife, mother and an award-winning comedian at the top of her game is tough work at the best of times. Now try adding a left-hand drive vehicle, birds on a murderous rampage along with disgraceful internet service and you have a recipe for disaster.

In this new series ‘The Tastes Funny’, Iliza and her chef husband Noah Galuten are travelling the length of New Zealand - one stop before the middle of nowhere. Confined to a small motorhome and only each other for company - they are here to discover the sights, tastes, and weirdly – the smells that this country has to offer. All in preparation for Iliza’s first New Zealand comedy show, because - if you’re going to make fun of an entire country, you must first understand every gritty detail.

For Iliza – it’s all about understanding the thing, in the place, with the people. Heli touring around glaciers and bungee jumping among canyons, all rounded off with a cold handle of beer at a backcountry dive bar. And for Noah? It's the food that gives him a feeling of the place. Chowing down on foraged snacks, taste testing indigenous grubs and of course – trying Rotorua’s world-famous cheese ‘Toastie’.

This trip will test not only their down-under accents and their ability to drive, but the strength of their relationship as we see this boss couple’s dynamic on-screen for the first time.
